Hi Some asshole thought it would be fun to make some dents on my hood, so I need to get it repainted. The dents are deep enough to crack the paint and are about 6inches from the fender. My question is, should I accept having only half the hood painted and one fender blended, or should I have the complete hood painted and both fenders blended? The insurance company is not giving me a new hood, they are only filling the dents. The colour is Blenheim Silver. Regards Carl |

Carl, I went thru a similar situation years ago with a Mercedes that I had restored. My ex hit a parked car with it and the insurance company wanted to put bondo on it - we went around, but they finally replaced all the sheet metal after I pointed out to the adjuster that it didn't have bondo before the wreck and it wasn't going to afterwards. For what we pay for insurance these days I think they should do it right! My two cents worth... Don |
