The passenger door in my 97 Discovery SE7 is sticking from the outside...it takes a couple of pulls and playing with it to get it to open. The tech at the Land Rover dealership told me it's a simply adjustment - anyone know what needs to be adjusted to fix this problem?

Also, the lock pull on the driver door is jammed down kind of far and is hard to pull up to unlock the doors unless I use my right hand to do so. Anyone know how to adjust it so it's back up at its normal height?

It's a very easy adjustment. You need to remove the door panel and make some minor adjustments to the lock actuators.

The panels remove just like any other door. Nothing magic there. Remove the two screws from the door handle and remove it. Remove the phillips screw from the interior handle finisher surround. Remove the screws on the speaker and remove the speaker and speaker basket. Use a trim removal tool or flat blade to gently pry off the door panel. Start prying in the bottom middle of the panel, not at the corner. The panel will slide up and off once it is free. Carefully remove the vapor barrier.

Back near the catch are several connecting rods that trip the catch. It's pretty easy to figure it out once you are in there. There is a small retaining clip on each one. Just pry it off and rotate the connecting rods to lengthen or shorten the rod. Start to finish, this job will only take about 15 minutes.

Good luck!

You probably just need to extend the connecting rod a bit. It's completely adjustable and pretty simple. Drop some oil on the latch while you are in there.

Good luck!
