Does anyone have any good ideas on how to do limb risers on my Disco? I have a mounting point on my ARB and but I need a good mounting point on my roof rack. I'm open to any kits out there or any do-it-yourself ideas aswell. Pictures would be nice? |

You can build quality, durable limb risers with items available at a good hardware store for around $5. Unfortunately I don't have any tight pics of the risers I made for my old 90. But I used a tube clamp-type item to wrap around/secure the cables to the brushguard and rollcage. Also, I used that rubber dip crap to coat them to prevent rust and chewing up of the powdercoating on the guard and cage. Sorry I can't be more descriptive, but looking at a pair of limb risers then going shopping will probably be all the ammo you need to get it done. |

Hey Neal, Try a search or check in the Tech Section. I remember awhile back a few people posting there home made Limb Risers. Good Luck!! |

Drill a hole through the ARB and mount an stainless eyebolt. Be sure to mount it as far outboard as possible so you can open the hood without removing the limb risers. There are lot of different options for mounting to the roof rack. Check out the Tech section under Limb Risers. I used the plastic coated wire too. Thanks, Mike B. |

I've been using the EL CHEAPO limb riser that I pieced together for about $15 from Home Depot. I used the plastic coated cable, looped it around the RTE Brush Guard and secured the loops with c-clamps. Then ran the wire up and around the outside vertical of the Adventure Rack and joined the two cables together with a galvanized tensioner. It's held up very well for the past year in spite of being exposed to the elements daily. |

What roof rack do you have??? I remember Kyle saying he can make you limb riser attachments similar to his high-lift mounts if you have an adventure rack |

That't a good point. I do have an adventure roof rack. Kyle, are you out there? |

I purchased the turnbuckles for mine from a rigging supply house because I wanted in-line style hardware. More expensive, but much lower profile. I looped the cable around the bumper and roof-rack so that when I'm not using the risers, it coils up on the rack and zip ties down to the expanded flooring. Same on the front bumper - the 8" long section of cable and in-line turnbuckle slides down and secures in a velcro strap to keep it from banging around. I'll take some pictures later and post them here. Cheers, e |

if you go to home depot (carefully depending on location) you can buy steel cables wrapped in plastic similar to outdoor dog lines but with much better weight capacity. anyway in the same isle you can also find all the attachments to fix it to your roof rack. what i did was run the cable from my brushbar up around the corners of the roofrack. the 2 ends of the cable meet in the center of the rack with a 2 ended pulley thing. its all in the home depot, pretty simple, fast and it works as well as the genuine product. |
