I have a 98 disco and was trying to change the fluid in the swivel balls. In the manual and in rovers north's catalog they show a drain plug, a fill plug and a level plug. I can only find a fill plug on mine. Where are they hiding the other 2 plugs. I did not pull the tires off, but I did have the rig on a lift and several people looked and could not find them either. Can someone please help??

see

Not that I am suggesting you should go drilling holes in you swivel balls, but if you wanted to there is a good reference.

In short, LR switched from oil to grease, so they nixed the drains.....

you could always turn the Rover upside down...rather than drill holes..or just stick to the grease...

Or obtain earlier model swivel housings. I think that if you are set on switching from grease to oil (you make THAT call!) the easiest method would be the drill/tap route.

Swivel housings (used) aren't that expensive.
