Since there's overlap in gears on the stock transfer case (low 3rd, 4th & 5th = high 1st, 2nd & 3rd), just wondering what people's experiences are with the Maxidrive LT230RC with the low, low range (50:1) vs. the ECR underdrive attachment (116:1). This for a '95 Disco w/ a 4.6 motor, manual transmission and 245/70 BFG MT tires and stock differentials. I want to keep the stock high range gearing.

These things cost some $$$ -- are they worth it?

Thanks,

Norm

Norm, I've been wondering this myself, so I'm also eagerly awaiting the responses. Another good place to post this is on the Pirate board.

I have looked around and gotten opinions from D-90 owners. The only complaints I have gotten were that they leaked. It seems that has been addressed in the new models. look at eastcoastrover.com. I dont think they would make sense with an auto transmission cause of the torque converter. I am not sure how that would work, the truck always moving especailly in low low I think it would be hard to brake.
