Looks really good Josh. Any plans for a front skid plate?

Not a fan of front skids. I have the rovertym font tierods and I think that should do just fine. I have found that my friends with skid plates never touch them and I always cring when the front end drops while going down hill. Somewhere I saw a picture of a $G skid ripped right off!

Looks great Josh. I much rather have a bumper built local rather than ship on in the future. Any inidication on price from GSP?

Looking good Josh. That is a nicely modified ARB. Greg is doing some great work there. I hope to see more of it around town

Are those bolts that protrude on the bottom the ones that hold the winch in place?

Yup, we were gonna build an internal tray, however, would have been a pain in the ass and not very practial. I was a bit concerned with the protruding bolts, but have foud that I cant seem to get near them because the angle is such and theres the fairlead in front. It's nice to see you out of your hole Matt, weren't we gonna do lunch? As far as price, I think it would end up around ~700, but dont quote me on that!

I didn't realize until I returned for a second look that Greg built the entire blade. Looks like quality work and finally he is making stuff for discos. I think he will need to address the winch mounting bolts. I know they are tucked up there, but it will only take one solid hit to make the winch inoperative, ruining a good day on the traill

And, does it matter that the warn is mounted on a slight angle, leaning back? Probably not.

Josh, it is a cave not a hole :)

I think this looks just great!

I agree with your first idea of a winch tray. if you move the one front cooling line you could easily build a tray that sits between the frame horns that your winch could be bolted too.that way the winch would not stress the bull bar it would transfer the forces straight to the frame horns where it belongs.

if the winch dosent sit flat the bolts arent loaded in sheer. in sheer 3/8" bolts have like 60,000psi once you move a few degrees away from it goes way down fast. thats why they design them to pull at 90* to the arbor and that line in parralel to the base.

that really is a cool front bull bar setup, putting that on the front and moe's rear bumper would be a cool combo.

I think moes rea bumper is a piece of shit! LOL I did not cnsider the bolt strengh thing, however, I will be putting grade 8 hardware in. Those 4 bolts are the only things not grade 8 on that thing. Regarding the tray, it cannot be between the frame rails b/c I have a HS9500 and it wont fit!

Josh, where is the love

I agree with Musky that my rear and your front would make a perfect match :)

Seriously, if you leave the winch bolts where they are, maybe you can have Greg weld small semi circle tabs in front of the bolt heads to help prevent them from taking a direct hit?
