My Right rear window does not close. Tried with both switched (up front and rear door pane) and can not hear window motor running - so must not be regulator. I guess it's either the window lift ECU or the motor. All other windows work. If it's a bad ECU could it be that just one window does not work or would it be all of them? If it's the window motor, are these easy to replace? Also, best place to buy window motor, AB? Thanks, Dan |

mine does the same thing, but it's the regulator that broke. I think that the motor and regulator are sold as one unit(don't quote me on that). Could just be a loose connector or corrosion. I would try discount rovers or an overseas supplier if you can get the exact part numbers. |

You can see in the tech section how to extract and repair window ECU. Greetings from Argentina |

On D1 the motor doesnt come with the regulator arm metalwork. The commonest problem is the !@#$^&*() nylon wheel on the end of the arm breaks in half, and they are not available separately - pinned on effectively. I have saved a couple (extended life) by gluing the nylon wheel in place on the pin with superglue. If you grease the wheel outer edges well, it doesnt need to roll as such, so it doesnt matter if it is glued rigid to the pin. Even Porsche sell the nylon roller parts separately, but not LR!!! |
