How do i check the transmission fluid in muy disco2?

It's right behind the blinker fluid reservoir. :)
Actually it should be a dipstick, similiar to the oil dipstick but a differant color.

Adam,

The DII does not have a dip stick, you have a plug on the transmission pan, that is where you check it. I can not remember the steps off the top of my head, I will try to look it up and post back Wednesday. Unless someone beats me to it

Very similar to checking a manual transmission or a transfer case

thanks, my disco will not go forward, it had been knocking when shifting gears.. but now will only go in reverse and not forward at all..

You are in a lot more trouble than low t.ranny fluid level.
But then, its under warranty right?
Time for a new t.ranny I fear
