I have a 97 Discovery - there is a bad rattle from the front drivers side which I discovered was the drivers side shock. The shock look OK but is loose so rather than change them unnecessarily I was going to change just the bushings. Has anyone done this before? Does it sound like a solution? Thanks |

No, I haven't done it. Yes, it sounds like a reasonable solution, if you don't have enough miles to justify replacement. First, thought, I would make sure that the nut hasn't just backed off allowing things to wobble about. Secondly, I would be curious to find out why a fairly new truck needed a new shock bushing.
