After a 4 inch rain...not common in the southwest... and a not so timely discovery of leaking sunroof seals, I ended up with about an inch of water soaked into the cargo area foam rubber bottom mat and wet carpet...and etc. I pulled all of the carpet and matting out to dry. I needed to wash the mud out anyway! Problem is my Great Dane found the carpet drying on the porch and made a short lived chew toy of it!!! @#@@#. QUESTION IS? Does anyone know where to find replacement carpet for the cargo area? 95 D1 Beige Carpet

LOL...sorry to laugh but that's funny. I'm sure someone here has or knows where to find the carpet. You may want to consider also getting a cargo mat. I'm looking into one for similar reason (someone left the camping water jug open and some of the water leaked out - made everything wet so looking into cargo mat). The mat has a lip on it to contain moisture (to a certain degree) so kinda worth it, plus I can put my dog back there.

No blame for the laugh...I'm still just shaking my head as the dog is asleep on the couch...Have you found a reasonable source for the cargo mat? I saw a link in the archives for one on ebay...sale ends Oct. 30. Price looked reasonable.

Not to step on Dave's ebay auction (he only has one mat and he'll sell it there), but you should also consider Discount Rovers. I just got a great deal on a D2 cargo mat, but he sells them all. Nathan is great to work with, too.

or if you want to be ghetto like me, just leave the carpet out and use the rubber stuff underneath it as a "cargo mat". Yeah, im a cheap bastard.

Carter,

Have you gone to bed YET???? LOL!

If you're a cheap bastard, then why don't you like that "Poorhouse" book you're reading/burning?

Hey Matt/Rover Dude,

Ya, I've looked around and even posted in the "want" section of this site. The problem I'm running into is crappy exchange rate (I'm from Canada). After you factor in exchange rate and shipping cost, the cargo mat will cost me over $200 CDN and when I checked with the dealership, they could get me one for $140 so unless someone wants to sell me their cargo mat for next to nothing, I have to buy here in Canada.

Like I said to the guy who offered to sell me his mat, the exchange rate is so crappy that pretty soon I'm going to have to throw in beaver and moose pelts to make it equal! :(

Oh thats bad Rob;

Matt, hey if it will make you feel better my Great Dane had a diarrhea attack in my RRC back when he was a pup. It covered the whole interior from the visors to the lower tail gate. A cute 12 week old pup sitting there waging his tail and slinging shit everywhere...

Karen,
I don't sleep, I find it distracting. And yeah, I guess I should like that book seeing as I currently have $42 in my bank account.

Oh, and that is very disgusting Dee -I don't want to know what was involved in cleaning that one up.

Carter,

I couldn't agree more. Sleep is over rated. Plenty of time for that when you're dead.
