Anyone ever install a sunroof in a D1? I am contemplating putting 2 pop-up sunroofs in myself, and am wondering if I am crazy for even thinkng of it. |

you talking about replacing the power roofs with manual ones or something or installing them in a truck that has never had them before (cutting holes in the roof)? |

Carter, no sunroofs in there now - also will be replacing headliner. Curious if there is anything (wires, braces, etc.) lurking behind there that I should be aware of. |

damn, I was hoping you had found some aftermarket manual ones that would fit the holes for the stock power ones. Anybody know of any??? Mine are pissing me off. |

If you are replacing the headliner you will be able to see any wires exposed. If there are some it would be very little like dome light and such. Anyway being just the pop up ones they are very easy to install you get a template with it and the trim they give you is big enough to cover any mistakes you may make in cutting. Not a hard job at all I would definatly do it myself and not pay someone to do it. |

Thanks for the insight, Ken - that is what I thought, too - just needed a little pep talk |

Marc: Where are you located? I might be interested in swapping entire roofs with you if you really want sunroofs. |

Jake, thaks, but I really don't want the headaches that come with the stock electric roofs. I want something simple and reliable like a pop-out manual, also maybe a little bigger than stock. -Marc |
