My two sunroofs make this snapping noise when you open them and they rattle when you hit a bump. Does this happen to anyone? |

Erik Every time my DII is in for something, I get them to have a look at my snapping roofs as well... Poor construction. Carl |

I don't think the guidrail assembly was designed to handle the whacking about of off-road driving while the window is in the open position. Seems to me the supporting angles of the elevating arms would take a hell of a beating what with the weight of the glass bouncing up and down. Mine "crack" loudly when I open them but I so seldom do that it hasn't been a problem. |

My 01 D2 has not been in off road use and has the same problem. Its been to the dealer twice. They claimed the glass needed "adjustment", but they both still "snap" and sometimes hang when opening. Most of the time only when its hot. I'm just worried that the real problem wont be found until AFTER the warrenty runs out. |

my 01 D2 did the same and the dealership said they made an "adjustment." it works great now...i wish i knew what they did. i will be in for my 22,5 service soon, i will ask. if it were me, i would have it included on each service visit made so there is a written record of your complaint. then when it does break outside of warrenty, you will have a history of bringing its attention to the dealership... |
