I put a aftermarket cd player in the dash and ran some patch cords to a amplifier under the passager seat. Now when I turn the air conditioning on it makes a whining noise. How do I get rid of this? |

make sure to run your power cord on the opposite side of the truck that you run your RCA cables also don't put your RCA close to any electrical source. If that don't work buy double insulated RCA cables more expensive but worth it. Ground your amp no moer then 12" from the unit itself don't go to the battery with it. If you have more than one amp make sure they share the same ground |

How do I route my rca cables away from the air conditioning? When I looked I didn't see any other way to do it. |

Get a good set of RCA cables. They are crazy expensive (for fosgate or monster) but will not pick up noise. Plus, the better ones are very small and easy to route through the dash and under carpet. When you go to run the cables pop the glovebox all the way open so you can get behind it. You need to pop the spring loaded plastic guides out of the little notches on the track they run on to open it all the way...its kind of hard to explain...just take a look and you will see. With it all the way open like that you can route the cables well. BTW: All and Eds Autosound has a 15% AAA discount if you have one near you ;-) |
