When using the remote to unlock my 98 Disco I, the lock doesn't fully disengage on the drivers door, and the door won't open. Using the key it works fine. My question is this, is there a quick fix here in the way of some simple adjustment, or is this an indication of a lock actuator in need of replacement? Thanks, Dana |

Use the Key! Mine does the same thing...I use the key! Wait a month...it will fix itself or something else more important will break and you can worry about that instead! |

Ahh, the joys of Rover ownership I consider myself lucky. So far my problems have been limited to the typical Roverisms. Leaking water, clock lightbulb that enjoys burning out frequently, mysterious squeaking noise occasionally at low speeds, difficult to fill gas tank, very fussy electronic system...ie dash lights going out if a foglight bulb is blown, intermittently functioning subwoofer, and now a not fully operational locking mechanism. As far as I'm concerned these little inconveniences can keep adding up at will, as long as nothing major goes wrong |
