Maybe just an inch or two taller in the back than in the front? I thought this might alleviate some of the vibes which come predominantly from the front, by reducing the offset angle of the front drive shaft. There's not as much you can do to improve the clearance on that end (I have a D2, which is even worse), and I heard some people saying they prefer to be higher in the back anyway? Anyone have any opinions?

Specifically I was considering something like 3" front and 4" back would be better than 3" all round (which leads to vibes in many cases).

Hmmm, I'm just the opposite (for no particular reason!), but I like the front a tad higher. Just remember that if one end is higher than the other, it will effect the height of the opposite end. Think of two people carrying a load and going up some stairs. The lower end gets more weight. Doesn't sound like it would make much of a difference, but in playing with different heights front-to-rear, it does effect the opposite end. Not a lot, but for me it was noticeable.

For the record, I had never thought of the effects until someone on this board pointed it out to me. I would raise one end a little, and the ride on the other end would change (this was when I was sorting out my lift and playing with spring rates and shock settings).

Anyway, food for thought.

Most lifts do this by default. Rear is always higher unloaded to compensate for potential payload. All my trucks are set up this way.

weird thing, i was in Puerto Rico a few years ago, and there were lots of lifted Zuks and various other trucks. They all were way lifted in the front. I mean, beyond a 2" difference between front and rear. any reason?

All the monster truck wannabe kiddies here in So. Cal. do the same thing. The front could be a good foot higher than the back. I think it's one of two things:
1. Looks meaner
2. I think these kids are outfitting their trucks in rally-race style, where the front end needs lots of articulation.
