I am new to the air tool scene and was wondering where I could get a good, but well priced 1/2 impact wrench and ratchet? It would not be used much and would be powered by a 15lb power tank. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks

Yeah! Another 15lb PT owner! I bought my impact wrench at Home Depot. Ran me 30 dollars. Seems to work fine, not as nice looking as the Husky at Home Depot, but it works. They have a selection of airtools there.

James, If you shop at Sams Club they sell a nice set for @$75 includes 1/2" impact, 3/8" ratchet, 8 sockets, extensions, a hi speed cutter/polisher/grinder, and an airhammer with 4-5 chisel type iserts, a professional tire guage, and tons more. Its a Devilbiss set, so it's not junk. I thought it a good deal for the occasional user, and the guys that helped me install sliders and a lift this past weekend can tell you it was alot of help! Especially for removing and installing wheels (You'll need to buy a 1-1/8" impact socket for that)

I was at Sam's today and saw that set. Sounds like a good deal as long as it works! I figured that if I can fit a 15lb tank, why go with the 10lb?
Thanks

Where are you planning on mounting a 15lb tank?

Thanks,

There is a place here in VA that can beat EE's best price by $40 and no shipping at all...just sales tax. I'm selling my jump seats to stick the 15lb. tank there. I'm picking it up next week. If the 15lb. tank is way too big, I'll just get the 10lb. tank. The discount applies to both tanks.

fwiw, the 10lb and 15lb have the same "footprint" so the 15 lb is just taller...not neccessarily harder to store
