I know this thread has come up a time or two. (or several......) However, has anyone an idea of how to perform the "technical bulletin" that allegedly fixes the problem? My '98 has the intermittent problem with taking fuel. I have tried disconnecting what appears to be the vent (looped plastic hose with quick disconnects near the fuel intake hose) this sometimes helps--but it sucks to do it. Mostly I try to go to stations with the rubber positive venting system. Explaining how to fill my truck meets with mixed results at stations in Oregon that don't allow me to fill my own. I'm dumb enough that planning my fuel stops around my venting theory is a PITA so it would be nice to fix the problem. Anyone have the bulletin or experience in making this go away for good? |
