A common fault with the ABS is the individual wheel speed sensors. they are mounted in a rubber bushing and can 'walk' out of the bushing far enough to become ineffective. You can gently push these sensors in with hand tools. the fronts are vertically fitted on the swivelpin housing and the rears are horizontal in front of the rear axle. good luck! Trevor |

I have both rear rotors off my truck and am fighting the 5 starbolts on the back. Once I get these off, how hard will it be to bash out the bearing races(cups)? Should I assume I can do it with a bigass hammer and screwdriver or should I take just have my buddy take it to a hydraulic press?? Anyone else face this recently? |

I did it with a normal sized hammer and a punch. I would avoid the screwdriver, as it can mar the insides of the hub. However, wether or not that is even an issue, I don't know. Also, after you put the new races in, be sure to blow out the hub with an air compressor if you have one to discard any metal shavings. Otherwise, just inspect and clean really well. Tom |
