Spicer 5-153x that is what Bill @ GBR sent me when I ordered the DC shaft over a year ago. You can pick them up at NAPA for about $14 |

The above P/N's were for a stock DII front shaft. |

The Napa P/N for the DII DC front driveshaft should be 369. The other numbers listed above are for the Series I Disco and some later MY Rangies, and the Defender. Land Rover only uses two different sized universal joints, the 344 and the 369. Usually, the only time there is a problem is with some of the early Rangies (88-90 from what I can tell)where there were some imported with one driveshaft, and some with the other. One thing you may wish tokeep in mind is that with the 344 NAPA u-joints, the grease zerks are trememndously long and in some situations, you may bust the zerks off with extreme articulation. The thread is 1/4-28 for the zerks. Also, when mounting u-joints, be careful that the zerk ispointing away from the flange and toward the driveshaft proper,or the interference issue is exacerbated. I assemble the driveshaft, use the long zerk for the initial lubrication, and then unscrew the long zerk and install a shorter one for more clearance. Paul |
