Which is the better gasket?

Cork or rubber.

The ones I have now are rubber and leak. Cork gaskets came with my intake valley gasket kit. Not knowing they were included, I also purchsed rubber ones.

I put the rubber ones on when I did my 88RRC. They haven't leaked... yet. I saw your other post about the trapiziod gaskset, I have no idea what that is...

Good thing, no sludge.

Hope all goes well,

-John

Since LR has came out with the rubber ones i have used exclusively with no problems. I do run a thin bead of black silcone on the inner lip of the valve cover to hold the gasket while install it...
