Is there anything wrong with the Safari Guard acessories for the DII besides the price???

I have some sliders and I think they are great. Just check the part and shipping list when you get it in, I was short the catalog but more importantly the Rivnut Tool. They were overnighted the next day.

Ross Thoma

PS I got them with the black $G decal.

Thanks Ross, The sliders are actually my next purchase. They don't get suggested much on this board, I was not sure if it was lack of quality or the high prices.

Both, don't forget the crappy customer service too. SG has screwed over me and several of my friends.

Eric-
If you look back through the Dweb archives you'll find alot of opinions on SG, their products and their customer service. Unfortunately, most of the feedback on Dweb about SG is less than favorable, running the gamut from missing parts, mis-aligned and ill-fitting parts, horrendous customer service and vehicular problems caused by SG products.

I suggest you do a little more investigation into SG and other purveyors. Most of the other purveyors seem to offer comparable parts with comparable quality points, better customer service and sensible pricing.

I think a lot of the $G reviews depend on whether you are ordering long distance or driving to murrietta. Everyone I've talked to who has actually driven to the them or had them do the install was very happy. People who mail ordered were less satisfied. I'm planning on getting a front bumper after christmas. We'll see how it goes.

My friends D90 winch bumper bent while using the winch (the plate were the winch sits on). And he snapped one of his limb risers while winching...can you say flexy sexy bumper!!!

Yeah, picking it up directly from them is better than having it shipped...

The dealing that I had with them was nice. I got good customer service from them and I was returning things for my money back and I live on the east coast.

Sodomy Gard Sucks!!! But if you must order from them, order through someone who sells for them. I think Rovers North is an "Authorized Dealer". Other than that, they take customer service to a whole new level. They should just answer the phone, "Hello Sodomy Gard, we don't give a shit about your business!"

PS Rovertym is the exact opposite! John Rocks!!

Eric, search the archives on rock sliders before you buy. You will find stuff on SG and Rovertym as well as others. Rovertym offers a good product in regards to rock sliders. I personaly do not do business with Safari Gard anymore.

I noticed Rovers North doesn't sell SG diff guards.

I noticed on their website that the diff guards were on sale for "buy one, get one free", so I ordered a pair last night. I guess I'll see how my order goes, and let you know.
