Has anyone found a really good one man brake bleeding system? I've bought and used the "Mighty-Vac" system and don't like them.

My nine-year-old daughter is getting wise to my insistence that helping Dad bleed the brakes on the Rover is really fun and helps develop future driving skills. Also, my six-year-old has trouble reaching the brakes.

Thanks-

Motive Products Power Bleeder works well for me . Not sure how the MV works but the PB pressurizes fluid at the reservoir and you just bleed away . AB sells them but you could probably find it cheaper if you looked around .

The Motive bleeder is great - you can buy it direct from their website also. Even makes bleeding an ABS RRC easy.

The Motive is great for bleeding a clutch too. The brake and clutch reservoirs share the same cap fitting. When ordering from the Motive site, make sure you specify the correct cap.

Is the motive compatible with the ABS systems on the Rovers? The advertisement that AB has implies that it is for non-ABs vehicles only.

Just think, I can get my hands dirty with brake fluid all alone now! Always seems that no matter how hard I try, I always end with brake fluid all over my hands!

Paul,

I told you over a year ago when I bought mine that it was fine for ABS systems. I called AB and told them the same, but I guess they have liability issues.

Hi Paul,

FYI - I just replaced the accumulator on the wifes RRC (90) this weekend and then flushed the system - used the Motive bleeder and also followed the Workshop instructions (deleting text that instructs you to pump pedal of course) - and it all worked great - new fluid, new accumulator - awesome brakes!

Also - I've done the Disco brakes a bunch of times to......
