My stock Wrangler HP tires on my 2000 DII are pretty much shot at around 25K (cupping and lots of highway noise). I'm looking for some real life feedback on either the Pirelli Scorpion S/T or the Michelin Synchrone.
The TireRack doesn't have any survey data on the Michelins - but the Scorpions at least are better than the stock Wrangler HPs.
I don't ever go offroading with the car and its pretty much highway driving that I do...so I'm looking for a quiet tire. I live in MA, so its also gotta be semi-decent in the snow!
My assumption is that the Michelins are probably a quieter tire, but at $192/each vs. the Scorpions at $120/each, is it $72 dollars quieter/better?
Anybody with the Synchrones? or anybody with the Scorpions? are either quieter than the piece of crap Goodyears?

I just replaced my shoddy, worn, pathetic Wranglers with the Scorpions, and I've been quite pleased, esp. considering the price (I bought at TireRack myself).
Quieter tire, MUCH better handling / braking, although you will definitely still feel the road... |

Just put some 16 synchrones on my wifes D1. Of course she never knew but they do fine on the road. Awesome in wet conditions. Got them for $136 mounted/balanced. It would have been hard to pay much more for them though.
