Is it an Indash or changer? If it is a changer then I would say to double check all the connections between the changer and the head unit |

It might be that you are trying to play a burned CD and it wont read it |

A friend of mine had this same problem when he first got his disco. He never looked at the magazine the discs go in that says insert discs label up(or down,I can't remember cause mine doesn't have the changer). I know it sounds simple but he couldn't figure it out until I showed him how easy it was. |

I have had my disco for about 2 years and the cd player has been working fine untill a couple of days ago. It started to skip and do funny stuff, now all it does is scan the disk and try to play it and then pops up error. Im trying to see if anyone else has had this problem, becuase i only listen to my cd's. I am having withdraws.. |

Well, you could pull it out and take it to a good stereo repair shop, or you could go out and get a NEO Jukebox (20gig MP3 player) and run that.. You would have to run it through your tape deck but, it still sounds great (if you burn your cd's at 160K sampling) and you can fit about 270 cds on it at the sound rate.. I have one and I love using it.. Great if you never really know what you want to listen to ahead of time cause you can have all your CDs right there.. Also, it is portable so you can take it any where.. If you get a new head unit you can get one with an AUX input and then you don't need the tape deck deal and it will sound even better.. http://www.iomagic.com/products/neo-index.htm Why listen to 6 when you can have soo many more.. |

Like Eric said take it to a shop. I would bet the laser is misaligned. It's a simple fix but a shop will still charge you at least a hundred bucks. I guess that is better than 600 for new. Or you could invest in an aftermaket cd head unit and 10 disc changer for about 5-600. |
