I have a 1995 Discovery 2.5TDI auto. Every now and then, normally at aprox 2000rpm the engine starts reving itself. I would be driving down the motorway at 70mph with or without the cruise control on and the rev. counter will rev up and down and you can here the sound of the engine change. Its like standing still and reving the engine but traveling at a constant speed!! It doesnt do it all the time and it doesnt always last for long 3 to 4 min's at a time. On a 100 mile journey non stop it would probably happen 2-3 times. Can any one help as my local LR agent can't? [email protected] |

Steve: Are you consuming any oil? Or more than you are use to? |

No oil loss, all fluid levels seem to be OK. I have had the diso since sept. last year and I have topped up oil with about a pint in that period. |
