i want to fit 265/75R15s on a 96 Disco. Aside from new springs, shocks, and trimming, what else do you need to have the truck running nicely.
also, for the springs, should i go with Rovertym 2 or 3 inch springs or OME HD Springs?

Don't bother with trimming for that tire size. just space out the rear fenders. I wouldn't suggest getting the OME HD for the rear because it gives a harsh bouncy ride. I have them now but I am soon installing new medium dutys in the rear with some spring spacers to compensate for the height loss. I am putting the current rear springs (762's) up front for an overall 3" lift (front)

Yes you will need to trim with that tire size. As for springs it seems like most people that run the OMEs prefer the HDs, I am very happy with my 2 inch rovertym RR1/RR4s though

if you put the 762's up front...are you going to have driveline issues....ie vibration and other issues people have when they go above 2" on a d1...just curious cuz if i can get away with it...i would love too...thanks...and let me know

pretty much, it will still put more stress on everything but you shouldn't get any vibes.

Efab doesn't like the HDs on the back, but I do. I have OME HD all around with OME springs, and they are a HUGE improvement over stock. Also on a '96 disco. I don't find the ride harsh at all, but then again I like my suspension a little stiffer than others might.

If you like the plush ride you may not like it, but I think the handling is going to be better with the HD, plus of course the load-bearing capabilities. I've never tried the medium springs, but I just drove across the country twice with my truck FULL of stuff with the HDs and they worked REALLY well. They also work fine for me unloaded and I highly recommend them. Off-road they're a great improvement over stock as well with the increased travel. It seems more progressive too but that might just be my imagination.

Carter, I'm sorry to diagree but, I didn't have to trim with that tire size. Like I said just space out the rear fenders. Thats all you need to do , period. Keep in mind that different tires will have various tread widths. I got the truxs 265/75/16 which only have a 7.7" tread width (even though the tire is much wider).

I will post once i have the 762's up front to let you know how it affects the driveline.

I hate to continue disagreeing with you but a 265/75-16 should be 10.43 inches wide, I run 235/85-16s (which are 9.25 inches wide) on aftermarket wheels with an additional 1 inch of backspacing. The 265 set up looks to be even wider than mine and no amount of reasonable spacing of the rear-quarter could eliminate the rubbing when the sway bar was off and the axle was fully articulated. Unless Retardriot is getting the same tires you are (assuming they really don't rub under full articulation) he is more than likely going to have to trim the quarters or space them out to the point that they will begin looking like wings.

Also, do you have a DI or a DII??

Oh yeah, and there is only 1/10th of an inch of height difference between the two sizes

I have a 95 D1 with RTE 2inch springs. If you want more articulation, go with RTE. I couldn't be happier. I run 265/75 with GCR rims and even with trimming, they will rub. Stick with the stock rim if you only want 2inch lift. RTE springs are taller than OME and I've had no vibes at all.

Emilio, unless you have a lot of weight up front, won't the 762s be too stiff? It sounds like you might be stiffening up the front and softening the rear, which is only adding to the existing problem of unbalanced articulation.

Retardriot, I went with an OME combo. The only thing I have changed since first installing are the rear shocks, swapping out the OME for Bilsteins.
