my july build 01 does not have center diff lock...for what it's worth.
you will have to crawl under the truck and look for the cdl nut on top of the transfer case. if you do a search, you should find some discussions from just last month on this topic...

Littlejosh,

Look at the tech section of the Expedition Exchange website. They have a beautifully detailed description of how to install a center diff lock on a D2 that still has the shaft for it.

If I had LOTS of money, I would put TrueTrac torque-biasing diffs in both ends (about $450/ea. from Expedition Exchange), or ElecTrac locking / torque-biasing diffs, if they ever make one for Rovers. For the center diff, I would then install a Quaiffe Torque biasing unit(about $2000. from Expedition Exchange) in the transfer case along with the CDL and extra low range gearset.

Throw in 4.10 R&Ps and Great Basin Axles and you have one of the best all-weather, all surface drivetrains. You will also have at least $4000 less in your bank account.

Let us know how you like the setup

Rich

My 01' DII had the CDL. The vehicle info I have say it was built in March.

There are several threads about the CDL and how to make or install an engagement mechanism.
