I want to use a Garmin remote antenna mounted on my roof to get better reception of my Streetpilot Colormap. I belive I have seen other Disco owners on this site that have done this & wanted to know the best way to get the wire from the dash to the roof. I am not opposed to drilling into the roof if this is the best way.
Thanks,
Brian

You might also consider one of the remotes that mounts to glass (like an Alpine window) on the inside. Still get good reception, but no drilling.

I got one of the little 'hockey puck' remote antennas for my eMap, and simply tucked it right up at the very front of the dash. Perfect reception.

Bill, actually the Garmin has the suction cup mount were I could try that. Thanks

Erik,
I have seen other people mount theirs there also, I will try that location to see how my reception is. I know the best place is on top of the vehicle were you can connect with the satelites on all sides of the vehicle.
Thanks,
Brian
