I want to use a Garmin remote antenna mounted on my roof to get better reception of my Streetpilot Colormap. I belive I have seen other Disco owners on this site that have done this & wanted to know the best way to get the wire from the dash to the roof. I am not opposed to drilling into the roof if this is the best way. Thanks, Brian |

You might also consider one of the remotes that mounts to glass (like an Alpine window) on the inside. Still get good reception, but no drilling. My .02 Bill |

I got one of the little 'hockey puck' remote antennas for my eMap, and simply tucked it right up at the very front of the dash. Perfect reception. |

Bill, actually the Garmin has the suction cup mount were I could try that. Thanks Erik, I have seen other people mount theirs there also, I will try that location to see how my reception is. I know the best place is on top of the vehicle were you can connect with the satelites on all sides of the vehicle. Thanks, Brian |
