I just purchased a 1993 RR LWB with a coil spring conversion and bilsteen shocks. It rides 100% better than my wifes 1995 discovery. She is pissed off why dosnt hers ride as smooth as mine. I know that the LWB makes some diffrence but could her springs and shocks just be worn out? what brand should I look for to replace them with? She dosnt do any off roading with it just daily driving what spring rate should I go with? standard, med or heavy? Old Man Emu, land rover, or other brand of springs? any help would be grate.

Define better.

If by better you mean smoother, then yes, the RRC's typically have a softer ride than a Disco. At least from my experience. YMMV

If you are looking for a softer ride, don't go with HD. Even MD is stiffer if she's just goingaround town. EMU are built more for off-road than city boy comfort.

I'd stick with stock if you want the smooth ride, but then again, someone else will have another opinion.

YMMV

A guy I work with recently bought a '95 RRC LWB and had to have the air bag suspension replaced (along with about $3500 worth of other repairs). He opted to go with LR stock coil springs. Both he and I now feel like his truck rider harder than my '99 D1 (stock suspension).

FWIW

By the way, Peter, this guy has never been wheelin and want to go out for some no damage stuff soon.

if the disco has as many miles on it as most 95s do the shocks are more than likely shot if they are the originals.
