I just purchased a 1993 RR LWB with a coil spring conversion and bilsteen shocks. It rides 100% better than my wifes 1995 discovery. She is pissed off why dosnt hers ride as smooth as mine. I know that the LWB makes some diffrence but could her springs and shocks just be worn out? what brand should I look for to replace them with? She dosnt do any off roading with it just daily driving what spring rate should I go with? standard, med or heavy? Old Man Emu, land rover, or other brand of springs? any help would be grate.

OME and Bilstein both make good shocks for the Discovery. and you can get some OME springs too. just get the Mediums. call the boys at www.expeditionexchange.com and talk to Ho or John.
it will make a noticable difference.

just get the bilsteins and call it a day she will gladly spend the spring money at her favorite department store.

and if the shocks alone dont do it you can always do the springs later ,but I'l bet the shocks alone will do it

I'm with muskyman, if she is just worried about bumps in the road some new shocks are going to probablly do the job just fine.
