The clip that holds the sun shade broke off. Does anyone have a good replacement to hold the sunshade closed when needed? Is it possible to remove one from the rear shades to atttach to the front broken one? The dealership said I needed to buy a whole new shade but foreget that. I'm so glad Disco Web is back up |

Mike- Is it the clip on the shade itself or the clip on the sunroof frame that broke. Unfortunately the only option for your dealer if you need the one on the shade is to order the shade itself (which just so happens to be more $ than a complete sunroof). If you still have the broken clip, we have had pretty good luck riveting it back together- Hope this helps Craig |

Hi Craig, Yes it's the clip that's on the shade itself the secures it closed |

If you still have both pieces of the broken clip, then drill a hole trough both and rivet it togeter. Craig |

I bought that damn thing, and it is different from the clips on my 97. Also, although I haven't spent much time, it seems to be damn near impossible to remove the existing clip from the sunshade. I am going to bend some metal and get it riveted on for the fix. Tom |

just put the big size discoweb sticker on the sunroof. that should give some shade action. |

Not a bad idea. I will trade my sunroofs to anyone. All they have to do is close up the holes in my roof to look 1/2 decent and not rust. Tom |
