I have reviewed previous posts on this topic but have not quite found an answer. Since I installed some Michelin 265/70/16's on my truck I have an ever so slight vibration at most speeds which becomes incredibly noticeable at 75 mph. At this speed it is accompanied by road noise. Has any one else experienced this? I thought it may be a bad tire or tires but have since had another new set installed with the same results. The tires balance out and alignment does also.

My brakes and rotors do need to be replaced but I wouldn't think this to be causing the problem.

I did read about turning some type of braket around for more clearance. Could this be my problem or is this tire size just inappropriate for this vehicle? The suspension is stock.

Any sugestions is greatly appreciated.

The clip thing is for clearance that you need between the tire and wheel arch liner, when turning. When going straight, it shouldn't be rubbing, and so would not cause this problem.

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone getting vibes just from fitting bigger tires, without it being a balancing issue that is.

I just added OME Shocks and Springs with 265/75/16's and I too have noticed my D2 feeling squirly. I was told that I need new bushings because they have moved forward due to the lift increase and tire size? I'm not 100% sure if this will be the fix. I could use some other Imput as well.

Monte, the squirly feeling is because you changed the castor angle by installing the lift. You can either get castor correcting bushings (which will limit your articulation) or castor correcting radius arms. Also, how old is the steering damper?

As far as the vibration check your u-joints or rotoflex (I'm not sure what year has the rotoflex or the u-joints).

Feeling Squirrly Eh?

I would agree with the Steering Damper and what about Tire Pressure?

It's a 2000 D2. I will try different tire preasures. But you will have to forgive me what is a rotoflex?

So basically to get a smooth drive without any other aftermarket parts you have to stay with the stock tire size?
