My 95 Disco's Cruise Control(CC) stops functioning suddenly the other day. The CC button on the lower dash still works when I press it but it is not doing anything when I hit the set button on the wheel. I searched the bulletin board and it was dealt here before but could not understand exactly. The first thing I should check for is vacum hose according to the messages but I do not have any idea where I should look at it. Is anybody please sendme the picture(diagram) with instructions, please? I sincerely appreciate any advice from expert on this issue. My highway driving is tiresome without cruise control... Thanks in advance and best wishes, kim |

Kim, look right behind the brake booster on the drivers side under the hood. Between the booster and the firewall you should see a plastic T connection with 3 rubber hoses going into it. These tend to dry rot at the T. Remove the hose (careful here for the T is easy to brake)and clip off the spilt section and reconnect. This happened to my 96 several times. I have also heard of a dry rot problem on the hose were it connects to the brake pedal release. Mine did not have the problem there so hard for me to describe. |

Also Kim, follow the vacuum line down towards the vacuum pump, located under the jack. You may well have dried-out tubing there as well. Follow the same method, clip and reconnect as Don indicates. |
