make sure all you connections are clean...9k...Little? sheeesh! How much does a loaded disco weigh? LOL...

One way to test is to take jumper cables and put them on the battery and right to the +/- leads...just be fawkin careful!

just go get golf cart selonoids at your local Napa

they are 100% duty cycle and will only be about $25

Do you think given my description of the problem that solenoids are the root of the problem...? everything else looks fine...

Muskyman, you ROCK...I was looking for new Solenoids for my Ramsey and new from ramsey they'd be $180!!! Each!!! I also looked into Wrangler (not Jeep) Products Ford solenoids, but was leary of them welding together (seen it happen on a starter and couldn't imagine if that happened while winching...) I was wondering about alternatives and, BAM, there you have it...Golf Cart!

Thanks man!

RJ

glad i could help...there also are overload switches so when a guy drives up to a wall with a golf cart they dont fry them it has a preset limit and i big black reset switch. i'm not sure what the ratings are but something like that may make a overloaded winch more bomb proof???

Kyle: You've got to be referring to the new Warn that's got the little light on the remote telling you when the motor is getting too hot. It's like saying that they know the damn thing is going to smoke!
