I have a 97 D1 and have the same problem that I read about on the 99-01 D2's, where the abs activates when going slow and turning while breaking. You can feel the vibration in the pedal. This happens frequently. So, I'm wondering if there is a list of all recalls for 97 D1's and similar years. I don't know what work has been done on the vehicle, as the original owner's manual wasn't given to me upon purchase. Also, will the dealer still be responsible for fixing this stuff for free? I just had some recall work done on my 97 DI for free at dealer. I would just take it in and have them run the vin # and see if they have been done. |

On a similar note... My '97 has two "service campaign" stickers under the hood. Is there a way to find out what the numbers on these stickers refer to? It would be nice to know what has been done. My dealer's service manager has been, shall we say, "less than helpful". David |

If they're the round white stickers that say "STC3435 Genuine Swivel Grease" then the swivel balls have been filled with the synthetic neodymium grease that LR decided should be used for maintenance-free service. All pre-'98 Rovers were recalled in '98 for that fix, and the sticker lets you and the dealer know it's been done. |

There was also a recall to update the eprom and GEM ECU. If the work has been done, it should be in thier system. |
