occasionally, my '94 disco tries to stall out on me when i pull to a stop at a light or whatever. this is not a consistent problem, and it usually only happens after i've been driving for a bit, particularly stop-and-go style driving, but it's getting to be annoying as hell. i can put it in park for around 30 secs or so, and then it's fine. or i can shut it down and then re-boot, and all is well. neutral sometimes works. any suggestions? it's getting embarrassing to have to keep restarting at traffic lights or rev the engine to keep from dying, especially when i've got a date with me. ;) |

you probally need to set your base idle and clean your stepper motor. |

Check stepper motor,is behind the air intake. check compressiom in each cylinder, probable valve problem with loss of compression.I had the same problem and I clean the stepper motor with carburator cleaner. I also did a valve job and regain compression. |
