Some guy is interested in my stock michelins but thinks they might rub. Stock D2 size is 255/65/R16.

Thx,
Dean

Dean,
I ran 255/65-16 Michelin XPCs on my stock 95 D-1 for a couple years. No rubbing in the wheelwells, but I doubt much clearence for chains. They will fit the rim fine and will be a little narrower on the 7" D1 rim. You may have to adjust the steering stops just a little, or not mind a little rubbing when turning at full lock. They definately improve the on-road handling and float better in sand. They are also stickier on slickrock. They will be slightly worse in mud and on snow.

Great. Thanks very much. I'll let him know.
