What tires you looked at so far?
Have you checked a NTW or local similar operation for their options? |

Recently put a set of 255/65 16 Pirelli Scorpion ST on my 96, purchased from TireRack for 104 ea., Nice combo tread, quiet on the highway. |

If you're looking for something to offroad, anything is better than the stock Michelins, and probably less expensive. The Pirelli Scorpions are a good choice for mostly road use/occasional light offroad. For a more 50/50 split BFG ATs are a good choice. |

Yeah, tirerack.com has 235/70-16 Michelin Cross Terrain for $84 or Pirelli Scorpion S/T for $86. Both good on the street, just don't take 'em off-road. |
