Howdy, I made a handle for my DII CDL. Like to pass on the idea for those who want it. You can check out the photos on my website at: www.chrisurquieta.com/dii_cdl_handle.htm Chris U Houston |

my link didn't work, let me try again: http://www.chrisurquieta.com/dii_cdl_handle.htm if that doesn't work, I guess I don't know how to make the link work out of my post Chris U Houston |

Chris, what are the actual dimensions of the slot that fits over the stud(I know that it's 10mm wide, but how long is it)? I'm making a bracket for a friend and don't want to have to pull my linkage off. |

Greg - it doesn't really matter how long it is, just make it double the width and it will fit. Also, and I don't want to criticize Chris's design in any way, but you might want to make the leverage a bit longer, because the bolt can get a bit stiff / rusted up. About 6" would be good. Dean |

Yes, The leverage could be longer. I haven't had problems with the lever yet. I'll add that to later versions if I have problems. I wasn't sure how far back i could go without interference so I added slightly to the orignal bracket. I'll measure it today and get the dimensions out to you. Chris U |

Chris, Just out of interest, are you puting the lever so that it points backward from the bolt? Because the ones I've seen (including mine) go forward, and there's plenty of room. Dean |

Yes, The only reason for this is I personally find it easier to mount it facing backwards. Mounting facing forward is just about impossible for me with my meat hooks. It would work just fine facing forward also. Chris U |
