I just installed an ARB front bumper to our 98's disco. Wife claimed tree jumped out and struck truck. Based on the cost of an OE bumper I thought the ARB was a good value. It is not the wintch type, but the nose appears to be a bit lower. Should I have any concerns? It looks great and the next tree will not do as much damage. Thanks |

Mark, Your springs might be worn out or not heavy duty enouph for the added weight! Do you have stock springs and shocks? |

Mark I had my ARB on stock springs for a while. I didnt notice a big difference. Now I have OME HD springs big difference and an easy install. Expedition Exchange can help. Speak to John or Ho. |

I would think that OME HDs on just the front would leave your front end noticeably higher than the rear even with the extra weight of the ARB (especially since there isn't a winch in there too). LR sells their own heavy duty front springs designed to make up for the extra weight of winches/replacement bumpers on the front, they are designed to only restore the original ride height not lift it any further. If that is what you are looking for it might be a god option, though personally I would put OMEs all the way around and get a taller stance along with a better ride. |

Mark: I have an ARB with winch mount (no winch yet, where's Santa when you need him?). I went the CB route for springs, Rover Tym in the rear and moved my rear stock springs up front. So far, I have suffered no ill effects, aven after adding the ARB bumper. I got mine to stop the deer, not trees! Paul |

depending on condition of springs, the nose will drop about 1.25" -1.5" IMHO steve |
