i left a post a week or so ago about two leaks in my rover. well the back one has stopped but the front one on the drivers side is still there and it is bad. if i take my mat out and sit it out so it will drip, there will be a puddle in 2 minutes. ive found water from under my sit all the way to under my hood release. it is on the left half of the drivers side towards the door. it is wet today and it hasnt rained in 3 days. i havent run my A/C any until today when i was wondering if it could be that. i ran it for about 15 minutes. my A/C drips in its normal place and from below my door where the plastic sill is. it drips from one of the holes there which is unusual i think. i have been running my defroster and heater. if anyone could tell me what this is i would appreciate it. i dont want to have to deal with any rust or smell. thanks for everything.

Check you A/C drains. If you look under the truck on both sides of the trans you will see the drain tubes (2 drains on the disco). In the ends of these tubes you will see 2 nipples that are just pressed in the end of the tubes. Most likely you will find that the end cap is clogged. For the "mall cruiser" crowd we normally just leave these out and throw them away with no adverse effects. You may want to put them back in if you do heavy off-roading. You can also disconnect the tubes form the heater case and blow them out with compressed air.
This is a VERY common problem but at least it has a cheap and easy cure.

I thought the A/C drain problem effected only the passanger side carpet, can it wet both sides?

The Disco has 2 evap drains, one on each side of the evap case. I have seen this leak on both sides of the carpet. What actually happens is that the evap case fills up and eventually dumps the water somewhere. Most of the time it will pass through the heater core and out through the floor ducts by the passengers feet.

10 minutes ago i took the screws out from front of the seat and lifted the carpet and rubber/foam stuff (whatever it is) and reached my hand under it and it seems to be wet all the way up to above the far right corner. im guessing the water is running from here and settling next to the door, which would explain the mat being soaking wet in the bottom left corner around the sill holes. im leaving this if it helps anymore in diagnosing my problem. thanks for all the help. its great to have help like you guys. i dont think i could ever get my mechanic to respond in an hour. thanks again.
