Knocking sound when driving but gone ...

Author Message   Username Posted on Thursday, November 21, 2002 - 11:32 am:    I just chnage the front rotors and pads and serpentine belt but now I'm hearing a clonking sound when running around 30-40 miles but when I step on the brake it's temporarily gone. I had the same problem before which the dealer cannot fix it and found out that it's the heat shield above shaft. I suspect it's the u-joint. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jorge
