In the back passenger side wheel well, take off the tire to get to it.

Tommy:
Depending upon where you live (climate and ice control methods) you may well find the fittings to be tremendously difficult to loosen. If this is the case, you may wish to cut the fuel line to remove the flexible line and replace with hose barbs and worm-gear hose clamps.

Paul, whats the part number for a substitute filter that would fit in the original's place?

You got me Bill! I have successfully used the Fram replacement for most Chevys and used 3/8 NPT hose barbs. Sorry I don't have the part number (for this one!). I admit to going to the parts house and looking for one that visually looks similar to the one I have in my hand. It has served me well. On a few occasions where it was late in the day and the parts houses closed, I have used my angle grinder to cut the crimped ferrule from the factory barbs and reused them! Once you cut the crimped ferrule off, the tube has a barb you can use. If I can, I prefer to use Virgin parts though.

Bill- Not sure what year you're driving, but I used a Purolator F33144 on my 96 D1.

Paul, I think we all like to use virgin parts.

Tom, where are you located in MD? Got any good sources for LR repair?

Bill, I'm just south of Frederick, in Urbana. No good sources but I haven't yet used a shop that opened recently in Frederick. I have used LR Rockville, but was not a good experiance. Was where I bought the vehicle. Learning to do as much myself as possible.
