I know Land Rover used to put the "seat heater" element in all of their cars. But only install the buttons on the ones people paid for. Is that the same for Freelanders?? IS the element there just waiting to be connected??? |

I believe the pre-installed elements were only on 99-00 Disco II's equipped with leather seats. |

Most DII's with leather seats have the elements and just need to be hooked up. As far a I know no trucks with Duragrain or cloth seats have the elements pre-installed. DI's I belive do not have them pre-installed. As for the Freelander?? |

Heated seats weren't even an option 94-96, so those are definately not pre-installed. LR caught on and stopped installing the elements, so Freelanders don't have them. LR is always LR, so you may find some post 2000 leather DIIs with elements, but it's always a crapshoot. Something always seems to be missing, and on every car we've tried to install the heated seats on, we haven't been lucky at all. |
