First... my D1 started and its running..thanks for the help discoweb! Now onto the next problem... the Transmission oil temperature light is now on and will not go off even when the truck is cooled down...
This is after a long wet day of 4 wheeling and then it wouldnt start for 24 hours I also removed about 10 pounds of pine neadles (south jersey)... Im thinking its the sensor but Im not sure where it is. Does anyone have any ideas Thanks Brad |

On a DI, the temp sensor is on the lower cooler hose on the drivers side of the vehicle. It is likely it is either wet, or otherwise fouled. Look for the sensor to be near the bottom of the radiator on the drivers side, partially obscured by power steering pump hoes, etc. The sensor is at the point where the line goes from rigid to flex. thanks paul but are you talking about the coolent sensor? I assumed the Transmission oil temperature would be on the transmission |

I suspect that the temperature they are indicating as being too hot is the temperature of the fluid. I was referring to the cooler line through which, fluid runs to and from the . |
