You can get a new light, which goes behind the clock to illuminate the numbers. I got one about a month ago from rover connection. About ten bucks but easy to change and worth it to have a functioning clock. took about ten minutes to change. Good Luck

Did you try thumping it? Mine would cut off and all I had to do was thump it with a finger and it would cut back on. Unfortunately those days are over... back to being late.

I'm cheap... I got a bulb at autozone and took the old bulb out of the socket that it's part of and put the new one in... about 20min and 2 bucks

Gordon,

I like your idea...do you remember the specs on the bulb you picked up? I think I might just attempt to replace mine this evening....I'll probably try thumping it first though...hadn't tried that yet :)

Just curious, how did your wife drive into a lake due to a burnt bulb?

Seems kinda odd...

If your Disco is full of lake water you may have bigger problems.

The bulb I got was one of those bubble packs with two interior lights in it, the lights looked just like the one in the holder, all glass with a couple of wires instead of a base. I worked the old bulb loose and put in the new bulb bending the wires to fit the base, they are held in by the pressure of the base in the clock. I did all this while sitting in autozones parking lot, not much to it.

Thanks,

I'll keep that in mind for when it actually burns out. Apparently 'thumping' worked pretty well at this point though :)
