Hey Dwebbers, Having trouble with the driver's door lock on my wife's 95 DI... sometimes - not always - when you try to open the door, there's "nothing there" if you know what I mean. Basically, when you pull the lever, it feels as if it's not engaging anything. I have managed to get it open by flipping the remote a couple of times and eventually it will open. Any thoughts? Anyone have this happen before? If so, tell me what to look for after I get the skin off... TIA, Chuckster |

Chuck: The plunger that actuates the arm that releases the latch has worn. Easy fix! Open up the door panel, look inside, you will see an arm that runs from the door handle to the latch. The arm is threaded and if you give it three or four revolutions, all will be right in your world. Blue might even have a picture for you! Paul |

I was just getting ready to post a similar question. One of the back doors won't open from the inside. I removed the screw in the plastic cover aorund the handle, but can't get it off. Do I have to remove the door panel and how, please? Thanks!!! |

Hey there... I'm losing my mind over here - here's the scoop: --If I use the remote to unlock the doors, the lock buttons lift up, but the driver's and passenger's doors won't open. --If I use the key, or if I open the back doors and reach around and lift the lock buttons manually, the doors open fine. ???? Any thoughts?? Actuator perhaps? I just think it's strange that both would go at the exact same time. I have the door panel off and I tried adjusting the lift rod that Paul suggested, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. I can see a hole in the lock button linkage that looks like a good spot for some type of return spring - is that the case?? Please help, my patience is wearing thin... Chuckster |
