How much should a new windshield cost? I'm getting some pretty high prices. Also, anybody change out the rubber on the outside of the big rear windows? How does a rookie like myself go about this? Thanks. |

Get the heated one! where are you? If you are near me I will give you a smoking deal on my stock one so I can go heated. Ron |

If we're talking D1: Expect to pay 50% of OEM buying off any autoglass shop. They're the same as RR, except from some shading. Frode |

Good luck getting the front screen to seal! The dealer here can seem to manage it, and after they leave bags of black crap all over the body work, you just give up. If the rear door rubber is old, you must replace it, else hot air inside will blow the window out. Seen it happen. jp |

Are you sure you need replacing it? Petroleum jelly is marvelous - work it thoroughly into all rubber parts, and they will feel new. For installing windscreen/glass, chk this Spitfire link: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/1080/windinst.html Best luck! Frode |

Thanks for all the responses. Ron, are you serious about selling me your windshield? I'm in New Orleans, don't know if that's close to you or not. |

That is probably not going to work. If you were local to philadelphia I am sure Alyssa would not mind if I sold our windshield and replaced it with a heated one. Ron |
