Question #1- Anyone ever paint their alloys black? If so, what paint? Question #2- If I ever get around to installing my rovertym sliders, I'm going to try and also have some side rails made, that would mount to the top of the slider, go up over the front wheels, and attach to the ARB bar. Anyone do this? I saw an article in LRM about a truck in Australia, but wondered if anyone had ideas here at home. |

#1 - two schools of thought here; professional beadblast & enamel or powdercoat vs. cheap and easy flat black spraypaint so you can touch-up as needed. #2 - I'd be wary of rigidly attaching frame mounted bumper to body-mounted slider... |

I like the CB version of question #1. It's kind of what I was thinking. As for #2, it's a standard siderail from ARB on Toyota cruisers. As I write this, though, I remember that the one set of ARB sliders I installed on a cruiser were mounted to the frame (as does the ARB bar). Hmmmm. Never thought about the flex issue between frame mounted bumper and body mounted sliders. Thanks for the food for thought. |

I have used krylon EPOXY gloss black with great success. I am attached to my Krylon Epoxy Paint, Krylon epoxy primer (both at lowes) and my napa etch primer for aluminium Ron |
