I was excited when I bought my 99 D2 because it came with a 7 pin trailer harness. I knew the wiring kit is hard to find these days and I pull a small pop-up. Upon closer inspection, I found out that the 7 pin connector from my trailer doesn't work. The trailer harness has spade connectors, while the "Hella" harness on the D2 has round connectors. What gives... Is this some type of European connector? Which side should I rewire? -John |

Do you know if the truck side combines the turn/brake lights, American Style? Or I guess I can check with a tester. TIA -John |

If you say you have the hella plug mounted on the back already, the vehicle is already prewired for the truck plug. You will need to get a test light to determine which wires are which, I do not remember off hand. Just follow the wiring diagram from the new plug and it should be a simple operation. |
